Linda serves as our Portfolio Manager overseeing the Asia ex Japan All Cap Strategy and Asia Income & Growth funds, a responsibility she has diligently managed since July 2019. Originating from Beijing, she ventured to the UK to pursue a MSc in International Accounting & Finance at Bayes Business School.
Commencing her buy side journey in 2007 at HSBC Global Asset Management, Linda honed her analytical skills as an analyst in the Global Technology hedge fund. Specializing in global equities, particularly within the technology sector, she transitioned to the HSBC global equity team in 2010. Here, she contributed valuable stock ideas to diverse long-only global mandates, showcasing her versatility as a generalist. Linda’s profound interest lies in discerning key secular trends, employing global supply chain analysis to differentiate between industry winners and losers.
With a profound comprehension of equity markets, financial instruments, and investment strategies, Linda emphasizes fundamental analysis. Proficient in comprehensive company research, financial modelling, and industry analysis, she adeptly identifies investment opportunities and makes well-informed decisions. Keen on optimizing portfolio performance, Linda monitors market trends, economic indicators, and company-specific developments. Leveraging quantitative tools, financial software, and market data, she generates insightful investment perspectives while ensuring vigilant portfolio oversight.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Linda is a fluent communicator in both Mandarin and English. In her leisure time, she channels her creativity through Chinese calligraphy, gardening, embroidery, and quilting.
