Josh is our Investment Manager and joined Dowgate Wealth in January 2021. He grew up in Bexleyheath, South East London and began his investment career in 2006, where he worked with Mark Chadwick, Josh Ross-Field and Giles Hargreave, administering private client portfolios. Josh progressed an execution only book which serviced private clients together with corporate & employee share option/share dealing services for a variety of employee benefit schemes belonging to FTSE 250 and UK Smaller Companies. Josh also assisted such companies with servicing their third-party plan administrators and trustees.
In 2017, prior to the acquisition of Hargreave Hale, Josh completed his Level 6 CISI Private Client Investment Management qualification to become an Investment Manager where he continued this role at Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management for 4 years before joining Dowgate Wealth.
When investing, Josh looks for global disrupters, growth companies and uses thematic investing as an approach which focuses on predicted long-term, macro-level trends, enabling investors to benefit from the materialisation of those trends. Josh is extremely dynamic and his open, honest and transparent nature has allowed him to successfully build up & retain an impressive client book over the past 14 years working within the industry. He enjoys meeting new companies every day but most importantly, thrives off growing clients wealth. In addition to his duties as Investment Manager, Josh is a keen carp angler, golfer and enjoys spending time with his family, friends and two dogs.
