Josh is one of our Investment Directors and joined Dowgate Wealth in January 2021. Originally from London, he studied Economics BSc (Hons) at Leeds University and graduated with Upper Second Class Honours. Since then, Josh became a member of the CISI (The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments) which is the leading professional body for securities, investment, wealth and financial planning. Josh began his Investment Management career in 2003, where he worked with Mark Chadwick and Giles Hargreave administering the private client portfolios and fund administration before completing his exams and going on to manage his own client base ranging in size from £1000 to £15m.
Josh manages bespoke portfolios on a discretionary and advisory basis and he has experience in dealing for individuals, companies, pension funds, offshore accounts and trusts, primarily involved in Stock market investments. When investing, Josh predominantly looks at UK small and mid-size companies and thematic investments. Josh has a no-nonsense approach and prides himself on excellent client service. This has allowed him to build & retain an impressive client book over his 18 years working within the industry.
Josh’s move to Dowgate Wealth will enable him to build on his experience in an entrepreneurial, professional and forward looking environment. In addition to carrying out his duties as Investment Director, Josh enjoys playing golf, watching football and spending time with his young family.
