Jeremy joined Dowgate Wealth in November 2020. He has worked in the City for over 4 decades in both fund management and stockbroking. Originally from Bedford, Jeremy obtained a degree in business administration and economics from Georgia State University Atlanta. He is also a Fellow of the CISI and holds a Pearson FT Non Executive Director Certificate, 2012.
Jeremy began his career at South Yorkshire Pension Authority in 1982. After further positions at Abbey Life and British Gas Pension Fund, and a spell at Midland Bank Group Treasury he became a stockbroker at Charterhouse Securities where he stayed for 13 years. He ultimately moved to Investec where he headed the number 1 rated smaller Companies sales team.
It was at Investec where Jeremy’s passion for exciting growth companies really flourished. Identifying business with real long-term growth potential, meeting the management and helping with their growth plans remains a labour of love. Even after 40 years in the City, Jeremy says he is still learning – as he says: “every day is a school day”.
A former international swimmer, he still enjoys open water swimming as well as table tennis and other sports. Time with his family after many years of long hours in the City is of vital importance to him, especially time with his first grandchild and quite soon, another two!
